Unwind in the warm and earthy, oldy worldy pub, with 2 roaring log fires, wonderful oak beams, beautiful bespoke oak tables and old leather chairs. Or settle into the more intimate dining room with its chunky oak tables and views of the pretty village square. For larger parties there are three private dining rooms catering for up to 40 guests.
Enjoy lazy al fresco lunches and dinners on smart wicker chairs under the beautiful vine, or wile away a few hours on the lawn, surrounded by a plethora of flowers that explode with colour throughout the year. After your meal, take a wander in the walled beer garden, or challenge a local to a game of boules on the pub’s very own boules piste.
Sunday lunch at the Royal Oak is a true feast, with three roasts, crispy roast potatoes, jugs of gravy and irresistible puddings. For large parties, indulge in a whole roast suckling pig or a whole roast rib of beef on the bone. Kick back on the armchairs afterwards in front of the fire and enjoy the Sunday papers or a good book, maybe that other glass of wine and a well deserved snooze...
